The National Service for Agrifood Health and Quality (Senasa), informs that as of December 1st all processing establishments of fishery products – except the floating processing ones – will have to implement the information on entry, stock and exit of fishery products in an electronic format.
The modality – which is being implemented as a pilot plan in some establishments authorized by the Service – was laid down by Resolution 87/09 and regulated in Circular 3595/2004 of the Inspection Directorate for Products of Animal Origin (Dfpoa) under the National directorate for Agrifood Inspection (DNFA).
To this end, aiming at future exit certifications to be issued by Senasa, companies will have to state, as an affidavit, the stock in net kilograms, differentiated for each raw material and product under processing or processed detailing species, product and temperature.
For a correct implementation of the new modality Senasa has foreseen the implementation of training workshops to the personnel of establishments involved and the official personnel assigned to them.
To have access to the new modality, establishments will have to use in a mandatory way the information system through the web site of the Service: www.senasa.gov.ar and then log in www.senasa.gov.ar/pesca
In this way Senasa strengthens the transparency of the inspection and certification system for fishery products and moves forward to electronic certification.
